Casa Ferry Trafaria, A boat ride away from Lisbon!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely home for 4 months. The outdoor terrace is wonderful for outdoor time and the ferry is a 5 minute walk away for trips to Lisbon. (It only takes 25 minutes and lands in Belem.) The owners were always available to answer any questions or help with anything we needed. There is a small grocery at the corner that has the friendliest owners and there are larger grocers at the town square, a block away. Sabores ao Quadrado restaurant at the corner has delicious, fresh grilled seafood and a daily menu for €8.50 that includes a 1/2 carafe of red or white wine. Antiga Casa Marítima restaurant on the small boardwalk has a view across the river of Lisbon and the best arroz de tomate and fried tamboril. Costa da Caparica is less than 10 minutes away by bus or Uber and has the most amazing beaches. All in all, a great stay and we recommend for anyone that wants easy access to Lisbon without being in the middle of the city. It's a delightful retreat.

Joana's place is beautiful. She is an exceptional host. She goes above and beyond to help in anyway. She is wonderful. The house is a beautiful Portuguese house. It is located in a quaint village close to the beach. There are bakeries and cafe's a short walk away. There are small markets and a pharmacy. You have everything you would need close by. It is wonderful to take the ferry to Lisbon. It is also nice to come back from a busy city and be in a quiet village. The patio is perfect. This place a so good for families. I really can't say enough about our stay. It was just where we needed to be. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. You will enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend it. Thank you Joana and Authur, it was so wonderful ♥️
