The apartment was freshly remodeled as if it were a new apartment. It was a great stay. The street noise can get pretty noisy during the work week in the mornings and evenings but and overall lovely stay.

Vecindario
The neighborhood is pretty central to everything. There is a cafe in the same building downstairs if you don't like to cook your own breakfast and lunch. The street is cobblestone and has old style drain "grates" that clang loudly all times of the day and night. If. you are a light sleeper, you may have to buy some earplugs and/or a fan for white noise.

The main market is 4-5 minute walk away. There are two larger grocery stores within a 4-5 minute walk. There is a 7M car rental agency just a one minute walk from the building entrance which we used. They were wonderful to work with too albeit a bit pricy during the tourist holiday season.

Very clean, modern, and practical, comfortable for a stay in the city. The location is perfect for access to the city, e.g. it is only a 5-10 minute walk to the cathedral or the famous fruit market.

The owner was very helpful every time we asked, including providing us with transportation on arrival and departure and sending us the address of a nearby electronics store so we could find a computer cord we had left at home.

Vecindario
The middle of the city, so though overall still quiet for a city, depending on the time of day, there is some traffic congestion.

14 R. Bela São Tiago - The people were nice and they provide good local food (Portuguese buffet style) with a different variety every day at a very budget-friendly price. It is not a place to sit down with a tablecloth and a fine wine, but when you want good food that will not empty out your pocket, I highly recommend it!
