My name is Alan. I'm the landlord of Casal São Luís — a private five-thousand square metre estate set within a naturally stunning landscape of forest and countryside, where I've long dreamed of creating a genuinely beautiful space that brings good people together.
Originally from Britain, I divide my time between Canada and Portugal, and Casal São Luís is very much the heart of that vision — a place I've poured real care into, and one I'm now ready to share more fully.
The land itself is something special. Calm, peaceful, and genuinely beautiful — and because parts of it are irrigated, it attracts wildlife in a really lovely way. Fair warning: there are rather vocal gangs of birds who consider themselves very much at home here too. And then there's the mole — a cheeky little soul who has taken it upon himself to redecorate certain corners of the garden with an impressive network of dirt mounds. Cute? Undeniably. Welcome? We're in negotiations.
I'm currently looking for new tenants on a short-to-medium term basis — from one month up to six or twelve months. I welcome small families, couples, singles, and close friends: people who are respectful, grounded, and open to connecting with others. The current tenants are warm, well-connected in the local community, and genuinely lovely — that tone matters to me.
I'm someone who loves nature deeply — hiking, walking, and being part of the communities nearby. I value privacy, both my own and that of the people who live here, and I believe the best shared living comes from mutual respect and a genuine appreciation for the surroundings.
If you're someone who values beauty, nature, community, and good company — I'd love to hear from you.
