Sunny flat in the centre of Buda

The most comfortable house with a great location. Extremely organized and so hospitable. Zoltan and Katie are so so sweet and welcoming. I absolutely enjoyed my 2 weeks in Budapest, thanks to them.

This is the third time I stayed at Zoltan and Kati's place; I now feel quite at home there. The apartment is full of sunlight and nicely furnished with antique furniture and hundreds of books. When my daughter visited me for two weeks, there was a mattress and plenty of extra bedding that she could use in the huge living room. She also loved the place.
I appreciate that the apartment is very quiet, with minimal to no traffic noise. As others commented, the neighborhood is wonderful and very safe, with all the amenities you would ever need, Starbucks, DM, pharmacy, health food store, Mammut shopping mall, with many great restaurants and a huge Spar inside, etc., within walking distance. Nearby Mechwart and Millenaris parks are great to wander about when the weather permits. Also, the owners are very flexible.
As before, I had a wonderful experience staying in this apartment and I already reserved it for two months in the fall.

The No 4 and 6 trams are a convenient 5-7 minutes' walk from the apartment. The closest metro is two tram stops away, or a 10-minute walk to Szell Kalman ter.

I have found the Kisbodon Etelbar (lunch place), only about 200 yards away on the same street is a very convenient place to pick up inexpensive but tasty lunch or take-out dinner. They have a set menu for every day of the week, M-F. They are open from 11:00-3:00, but they often run out of food by 1:00 pm.

I stayed for a little over a month, and it was a great experience. The apartment was in a great location for me, and it is a very short walk from the trams and metro. This is not in a very touristy area, so speaking a little Hungarian can be helpful but not absolutely necessary. The owners were very responsive to any questions I had and were very welcoming. My only suggestion would be to get a microwave, as the kitchen is not ideal for cooking.

It is not a tourist area and is more residential. You can get by speaking English, but not everyone is fluent outside of the restaurants. It's very quiet and safe except for a few weekends when I could hear some loud dance music in the distance.

There is a shopping mall called Mamut, which has some restaurants and cafes. I ate at the Wok Star noodle place a lot. I would also recommend Idigo, which is a few blocks away, for really good Indian food.

Zoltan and Kati's place is a light-filled, huge, airy apartment tastefully furnished with antique furniture and hundreds of books. My husband especially appreciated the work desk with the large monitor which came in very handy for his computer that he traveled with. I love the reading lamp, which is actually for reading, not just for mood lighting. We were also happy to find the apartment very quiet, with minimal to no traffic noise.

There are two pastry shops within walking distance, the Tortavar on the same street a few houses up, and the Kremeshaz Cukraszda on Margit korut, which has some of the best pastries in Budapest.

A lakás szép világos. Reggelenként a tiszta budai levegő a teraszon egy jó kávé mellett nagyon kellemes. A tulajdonosok, Zoltán és Katalin rendkivül kedvesek és segítőkészek. Az itt eltöltött 72 napról csak jó emlékeink lesznek.

I had a very nice stay. The flat was spacious and the ergonomic desk and extra monitor were perfect was remote work. Neighborhood is fantastic with lots of bakeries, restaurants, markets and a large mall within a short walk. Public transport was also very nearby and runs and convenient. Zoltan and Kati were very kind and accommodating hosts.

The place it’s huge and very well equipped. Perfect for a couple, especially for digital nomads! Zóltan and Kati are very thoughtful and helpful which made my stay much more enjoyable!

Great experience for everyone who wants to live in a beautiful place next to the Castle hill. The Landlord Zoltán was very helpful and kind. I would definitely come back to this place when visiting Budapest again.

Quiet, safe, beautiful architecture

We stayed almost 2 months in this flat and we loved it!
It is very light, spacious, cosy, and warm. A big plus was definitely the desks, work chairs, and extra monitor -- it was very productive for us to have a little "office".
The neighborhood is amazing - there is a mall and supermarkets 5 minutes away. The metro and tram station are nearby as well so going into the city center is super easy and fast.

If you're like us and prefer cooking at home rather than eating out, you might find it a bit challenging at the beginning as there's only one induction cooktop - but we got used to it fairly quickly and it wasn't a big issue.

We definitely recommend staying at Zoltan's and Kati's place! Not only is the flat beautiful, but they are lovely and very kind landlords. You'll love it!

This is a lovely apartment in a superb location in district II on the Buda side. The location is excellent, with shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk. The owners are a lovely couple who accomodate all needs of the tenants; they are communicative and responsive. The bathroom is somewhat small but appropriate for the purpose. Ideal for digital nomads and those who do not wish to have extended household activity.

Zoltan’s flat was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The flat is centrally located making it ideal for walking to services and attractions. Zoltan is a gracious host and quickly communicates when needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Lidl for grocery, Yum Yum Thai, Knedli Etelbar. Knedli is a fantastic value option for Hungarian food, lunch only, don’t let the line intimidate you. It moves fast.
